Peter grew up in Enfield and attended his first Wests Magpies game at age nine. He played junior rugby league for South Strathfield and later for the renowned Enfield Federals Club. While studying Medicine at the University of Sydney, Peter played faculty rugby and represented his assigned hospital for three years.
After graduating, Peter established a highly successful General Practice in Bankstown, which he operated for 36 years.
Peter is a Life Member of the Western Suburbs Rugby League Football Club. He began providing medical services for Wests Magpies in 1982 and served as the full-time Honorary Doctor from 1983 to 1996. Returning in 2013, he has since worked with Junior Representatives, Massey Cup, Jersey Flegg, and State Cup teams. His expertise has also supported other clubs, including the Canterbury Bulldogs, Sydney Roosters, Melbourne Storm, St Marys, Ryde Eastwood Hawks, and Glebe Dirty Reds.
Peter joined Wests Ashfield Leagues in the late 1980s and became a Debenture Holder in 2013. He served as Secretary for five years and has been Chair for the past five years. His passion lies in the success and development of the Holman Barnes Group and all aspects of Western Suburbs Football.
Outside rugby league, Peter is deeply involved in athletics. He has been a member of two running clubs for over forty years, served on committees, and competed at State level for many years. He has completed 32 marathons and maintained 53 years of continuous membership at Strathfield Golf Club.
